Lansdowne on the Potomac

Lansdowne on the Potomac Featured Properties

Lansdowne on the Potomac has become a major housing complex, centered by a fabulous resort center and 30,000 square foot Potomac Club. The club houses a 25-meter indoor swimming pool, an outdoor pool, game room, business center, exercise rooms, and more.

The Mid-Atlantic’s premier golf resort and private golf club offers 3 distinct golf courses designed by world-renowned golf course architects Robert Trent Jones, Jr. and Greg Norman. Landsdowne has three distinct golf courses. One of the three is a nine hole design. The original course runs across the Virginia countryside incorporating fields, woodlands, natural stone outcroppings, and centuries-old rock formations. The newer “Norman” course utilizes the natural undulations of the Potomac River Valley and its environmentally-friendly areas to create a stunning masterpiece championship course. There is also a less-challenging, “fun” nine hole Norman course.

Lansdowne was one of the initial golf course resorts, originally designed as a corporate or weekend retreat. With the growth of golf communities and alternative places to conduct business in a resort setting, Lansdowne expanded to become an everyday destination and housing development. The spa and dining are excellent, and the two golf courses are exceptional. There is fine dining, bars, a fitness center, tennis, tremendous outdoor pools. Landsdowne has great variety for the entire family.

Located east of Route 7, Lansdowne is seen by many as a competitve location to River Creek and Belmont Country Club. I love the Lansdowne setting and amenities, and  the golf courses are excellent.
